What is HP TET?

Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) is a state-level exam conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala. The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in the schools of Himachal Pradesh for the following subjects:

 

  1. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Arts
  2. TGT (Medical)
  3. TGT (Non-Medical)
  4. Shastri teacher
  5. Language Teacher (LT)

Application form (without late fee)  24-May-2021 to 13-Jun-2021

The HP TET 2021 application process will begin on May 24, 2021 and will conclude on June 13, 2021.

Application form (with late fee of Rs 300)

14-Jun-2021 to 18-Jun-2021

Candidates can fill the HP TET application form 2021 by paying a late fee during June 14-18, 2021. The late fee has to be paid additional to the application fee.

The HP TET 2021 application form correction window will be open during June 19-21, 2021.

HPTET Application Form 2021

 

The HPBOSE will release the HP TET 2021 application form on May 24, 2021. Candidates who fulfil the HP TET eligibility criteria can apply online for the exam by filling the form. The last date to fill the form is June 13, 2021 (without the late fee). Candidates can fill the application form during 14-Jun-2021 to 18-Jun-2021 as well by paying a late fee of Rs 300. The late fee is in addition to the application fee.

The basic HP TET 2021 eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfil are:

Candidates should complete graduation with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks

Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in teacher training

There is no upper age limit to apply for the exam

 

HPTET Selection Process

HP TET selection process 2021 includes the following stages:

HP TET application form: Firstly, candidates need to fill the HP TET application form in online mode on the official website of HP BOSE

HP TET admit card: Once the application process is over, candidates need to download their HP TET admit card/hall ticket from the official website of the exam

HP TET exam: Next, candidates need to take the HP TET exam in offline mode for their chosen subject

HP TET result: Once the exam is over, HPBOSE declares the HP TET result on its official website. Candidates clearing the written exam are then issued HP TET certificates based on which they can apply for the job of a teacher in the schools of Himachal Pradesh  

HP TET Exam Day Guidelines
 

Candidates should keep the below-mentioned points in mind on the day of the HP TET 2021 exam:

 

Candidates should not forget to carry their admit card to the allotted exam centre

Along with admit card, candidates are advised to carry a photo ID proof with them to the exam centre

Candidates belonging to reserved categories should carry their caste/ category certificate to the exam centre

Candidates should reach the allotted exam centre at least two hours before the commencement of the exam

Since HP TET is a pen-and-paper-based test, candidates should carry at least two ballpoint pens of black and blue colour and a pencil to the test centre

Candidates should not carry any textual material inside the exam centre

Mobile phones and any other electronic gadget such as watches and calculators are banned inside the examination center

TGT (Arts)

 
  1. He/ She must have completed B.A./ B.Com. with at least 50% aggregate and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
  2. An aspirant must have done B.A./B.Com. with at least 45% marks and 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) by NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  3. One must have done senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  4. Those who have completed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed. OR
  5. B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education).

TGT (Non-Medical)

  1. B.Sc.(NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR
  2. B.Sc.(NM) with at least 45% marks in 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) by NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  3. He/ She must have completed senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) 10 OR
  4. You must have cleared senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc.(NM)Ed. OR
  5. Those who clear B.Sc (NM) with minimum 50% aggregate and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education)

TGT (Medical)

  1. Clearing B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% aggregate and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR
  2. Clearing B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 45% aggregate in 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR
  3. An interested aspirant must have cleared Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  4. An aspirant must have completed senior secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc.(Medical) OR
  5. The candidates must have acquired B.Sc(Medical) with at least 50% aggregate and a 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) Special Education

Shastri

Candidates must have done completed Shastri with at least 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.



Language Teacher

  1. One must have completed a B.A. with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  2. You must have done a BA with at least 50% aggregate with Hindi and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
  3. An aspirant must have done a BA with at least 45% aggregate with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
  4. He/ She must have obtained a BA with at least 50% aggregate with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education 11 OR
  5. Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% aggregate followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
  6. M.A. (Hindi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

Junior Basic Training (JBT)

  1. 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized Board/University and should possess two years JBT certificate course from an institute duly recognized by the Central State Govt. OR
  2. You must have cleared Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate and two years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  3. A candidate who has cleared Senior Secondary with at least 45% aggregate and two years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  4. He/ She must have passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  5. A desirous applicant must have cleared Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate and 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) OR
  6. Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education

Punjabi Language Teacher

  1. B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  2. The BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
  3. You must have cleared BA with at least 45% aggregate with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
